Catalysts for tomorrow
TEDxUW is the first ever TED like event to be hosted at the University of Waterloo. Our theme was “Catalysts for tomorrow” and presented some of the most inspiting and brilliant minds to have grauduated out of the University of Waterloo. One of our videos even went on to be featured at the TED.com website, which enjoys about 300 million visits per month, of the smartest folks from around the globe.
As the Marketing Director for I was responsible for the entire marketing, Social Media, IT, Design and Event registration for the event. I also helped out with recruiting top talent, speakers, gathering sponsorship, funding and helping plan and execute the high level vision for the TEDxUW experience. I enjoyed working from directing the vision for print and social media to collaborating with Education and Attendee engagement startup companies to build a robust branding for the entire event.
